Plumbing concept redesign case study: desktop homepage with a call button and quote form in the first screen
Mobile version of the plumbing concept, showing a tap-to-call button above the fold

Mock case study with a fictional business, not client work.

  • Fixed scope
  • Two revision rounds
  • Full ownership
  • Five-day delivery

When the five days start: once the deposit and your business information — services, service area, logo, photos and contact details — have been received.

The problem

A weak website quietly costs you work.

Your customers rarely complain about your website. They just call someone else. It usually comes down to the same three things.

  1. 01Costs you trust

A dated site undoes years of good work.

People judge a business in seconds. If the website looks abandoned, they assume the service might be too, whatever the reviews say.

  2. 02Costs you calls

The phone number is hard to find or tap.

Most people looking for a tradesperson are on their phone. If calling takes more than one tap, many just try the next result.

  3. 03Costs you quote requests

There is no clear next step.

Long forms, vague “Contact us” pages and no word on reply times put off the people who were ready to ask for a price.

Concept work

Three redesigns, three trades.

Each case study takes a dated trade website, pinpoints what gets in the way of a call or quote request, and redesigns the homepage to fix it.

These are mock case studies. The businesses are fictional and their “before” websites were built by Loomino to show common problems. No client results are claimed.

  • PlumbingMock case studyFictional family-run plumbing company · Ohio, United States

Making the emergency line impossible to miss

A family-run plumber with a strong local reputation and a homepage that makes urgent callers scroll, pinch and guess.

The redesign puts click-to-call, 24/7 availability and the service area in the first screen on every device.

  • HVACMock case studyFictional heating and cooling contractor · Texas, United States

Letting homeowners say what’s wrong in one tap

A heating and cooling contractor whose homepage talks about the company’s history when customers arrive thinking about a house that is too hot.

The redesign opens with three plain choices — no cooling, no heat, routine service — each leading straight to the right contact step.

  • RoofingMock case studyFictional residential roofing business · Queensland, Australia

Turning a gallery page into a free inspection request

A roofer with years of good work and a homepage that is mostly a photo slider, with no obvious way to ask for an inspection.

The redesign leads with a free roof inspection offer and moves the project photos to support it, instead of replacing it.

Five working days covers my design and build time. Revision rounds move as quickly as your feedback does. You can read a sample project scope to see exactly what you’d sign.

Pricing

One fixed price. No surprises.

Prices are in US dollars and cover everything listed. Domain registration and any paid hosting are billed by those providers directly to you. Every project begins with a free homepage concept, not a paid commitment.

What the free concept includes: a first-screen redesign of your homepage and my top three priority fixes — not a full build. If it’s a fit, that concept becomes the starting point for your project.

Who you’ll work with

Built and managed by Dhruv

Dhruv Mohapatra · Founder, designer and developer

I run a small web studio focused on local service businesses. Every project is designed, built and reviewed directly by me — there is no handoff to an anonymous subcontractor.

My process combines conversion research, responsive development and fast AI-assisted production. The finished website is reviewed manually, and the client retains complete ownership.

Loomino is new, which is why the work on this page is mock case studies with fictional businesses rather than client projects. I’m taking on the first 3 founding-client projects myself, at a lower rate. With each client’s permission, those websites will replace the mock case studies.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Who owns the website?
You do. Once the balance is paid, the domain, hosting account, website code, design files and any images I produced are yours. Nothing is locked to me, and you can move or edit the site with any developer.
Where is it hosted, and what does that cost?
I set the site up on hosting in an account in your name — usually Cloudflare Pages, which is free for a small business website. Your domain name is billed by your registrar, typically around US$10–20 a year. I don’t mark up either.
What counts as a revision round?
One round is a single, consolidated list of changes within the agreed scope — wording, images, colours, layout adjustments. You get two rounds. New pages or features beyond the scope are quoted separately before any work is done.
Do you write the copy?
I write and structure the page copy from the information you provide and your existing website, then you check it for accuracy. You know your trade better than I do, so I rely on you for prices, licences and service details.
When do the five working days start?
The day after both the 50% deposit and your business information have arrived: services, service area, logo, photos, contact details and access to your domain. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding Indian public holidays, which I list in the scope.
How does payment work?
You receive a written scope and an invoice. 50% is paid before work starts, and the remaining 50% after you’ve approved the preview and before the site goes live. Invoices are in US dollars and can be paid by card or bank transfer.
What if I want to cancel?
Before work has started, your deposit is refunded in full. After work starts, the deposit covers the work done and you receive everything produced so far. If I miss the agreed timeline for reasons within my control, you can cancel and get the deposit back. Full details are in the service terms.
What happens after launch?
If anything I built doesn’t work as agreed, I fix it at no charge. For later changes, such as new services or seasonal offers, I quote per task, or you can make the changes yourself or with anyone else.
Why are your case studies mock projects?
Because Loomino is a new studio and I won’t show fake client logos or testimonials. Each mock case study uses a fictional business with a deliberately dated website, so you can see exactly how I spot problems and fix them. They will be replaced by client projects, with each client’s permission.
Do you work with businesses outside India?
Yes. The studio is built for businesses in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and elsewhere, with meeting hours set up to overlap with those time zones.
